A Who’s Who of Western Women Artists. All kicking up their heels in one place…at one time. March 27 through May 4, 2008 The Desert Caballeros Western Museum is the setting for the Third Annual Cowgirl Up! Art from the Other Half of the West Invitational Exhibition & Sale. The celebration begins this year on Thursday, March 27 with a brand new event called “Cowgirl Up! Boot Camp,” a trail ride and chuck wagon dinner for all the artists and their patrons. This Thursday trail ride will be followed by a weekend of celebration continuing through Monday, March 31, 2008.

The class will consist of a demonstration along with hands on instruction in the late morning and after lunch. We will try to have 2 critiques during the class. This is a workshop in creativity and exploration...my goal is that you will come away from this class with lots of exciting techniques and new directions for your work....it will be great fun. "The work is a process of layering, with multiple design elements incorporated into the paintings such as collage and highly textured area's...It is truly a fusion of many layers of leafing, collage and acrylic glazes."
