![]() "Evening Sunset" Mixed Media on Gold and Silver Leaf | As winter approaches I am busy getting ready for an
anniversary show in Ronan, Mt. on Nov. 20. It is being
held at the Main Street Gallery and the address is posted
on the website under Galleries. We are introduction a new
Giclee called Splendor 36x36 embellished by the artist.
It should be a fun opening so stop by if your in the area.
Spending a lot of time in the studio experimenting with
some new medias and ideas. This is always a great time
of year for me as I liked to gear up for the winter
painting and it is usually when new ideas come my way.
Will be updating the site very soon so look for the new
work. Pat My work is about a journey. Primarily abstract; it incorporates a love for experimentation with mixed media and color. I work on very large canvases that are gold, copper, and silver leafed. Using the leaf as a reflected light source under acrylic glazes creates exciting and constantly changing images with one's natural light source. The work is a process of building multiple design elements of collage and highly textured areas. It is a layered fusion of leafing, collage and acrylic glazes. |
